John has over 13 years’ experience in energy and spiritual healing. His formal training began in 1995, when he studied with Peruvian indigenous healers, earning initiation into their spiritual “clergy.” He also spent time in remote areas of Mexico studying ancient Aztec forms of spiritual healing.

  In 1997, John met Dr. Robert Jaffe, a renowned medical intuitive who ran a successful holistic medical practice and Energy Healing academy. He began a long period of close study with Dr. Jaffe, working with him nearly daily for 5 years as well as graduating from his school, then went on to add three years of post-graduate study at the Jaffe Institute, becoming a teacher of the work.

  John also simultaneously attended a 2-year program in the ancient art of Sufi healing. It was during that time that he met Sufi grandmaster and healer Sidi al-Jamal of Jerusalem. Sidi al-Jamal has helped illuminate his understanding of the human spiritual system and its potential. He also taught John prophetic methods of physical and spiritual healing dating back thousands of years. John has been studying with Sidi for ten years and is now one of his representatives in the U.S.

  Since 1998, John has continued to study with other medical intuitives, as well as with psychologists and counselors who understand the holistic/spiritual model. In the year 2000, he opened a healing practice in Napa Valley, California, where he practiced for two years. In 2004, he moved to Austin to complete a degree at the University of Texas. For 7 years, John worked at the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism in California, where he taught energy healing and spiritual development. He has had the opportunity to work with and help train hundreds of students from all over the country, including doctors, acupuncturists, scientists, musicians, and psychologists. His experience at the University, and his travels and training, have prepared him to work with a diverse clientele and a wide variety of needs.

  While in Austin, John has attended numerous workshops and ongoing trainings in psychology and counseling, with a focus on attachment theory, emotional communication, interpersonal neurobiology, and couple's work. John continues to teach and work with clients nationally. He offers local classes on healing and spiritual growth. His private practice is focused on helping individuals and couples reach their highest potential, and lovingly work out the kinks to promote a deep and fulfilling experience of life.
